A contemporary reimagining of the bold visual language and graphic vocabulary of Parisian protest posters, drawing upon their history of political expression while reinterpreting their forms, symbols and energy through a contemporary design lens. Humbled to be part of such a strong lineage.. 

The important artist selection for the posters of the Parti Communiste Français through the ages includes renowned international modern painters, pioneering photographers, and specialised political graphics collectives spanning 1920 to the modern era, including  Pablo Picasso, Robert Doisneau, Michel Quarez and Grapus.

Sunil Pawar was selected in 2010 to join this distinguished lineage of artists, an exceptional honour and significant recognition of his artistic practice.

Two sets of posters acquired by The George Mason public research University in Virginia, Fairfax. USA, where they will be future proofed for their historical and cultural significance alongside their collection archive of Parti Communiste Francais posters, which includes Pablo Picasso's seminal peace dove artwork.
